Building description

Flórián Udvar offers 10,300 sqm lettable area of A-category office space in the center of North Buda, at Flórián Square.

Flórián Udvar includes seven interconnected, 4- and 5-storey buildings, surrounding a court where a beautiful park provides tenants with green space for relaxation. The office complex was handed over in June, 2008.

The developer BIF Group aimed to preserve and empasize the 19th century architectural characteristics, integrated with the 21st century styles, providing exceptional working environment by the clinker façade, the domed interiors, the cast-iron columns and the unusual interior height. As a further special feature, ruins from the Roman Era found during excavation works, are exhibited under glass panels by one of the entrances. The buildings offer variable office spaces to comply with medium and large companies' needs.

Besides the modern technical solutions applied throughout the renovation, the accessible building is equipped with card-entry system, opening windows and will host a parking house of 240 parking spaces, and restaurant and café with an open-air terrace in the 2,000 sqm inner court.

The former building of Flórián Udvar belonged to the Hungarian Royal Tobacco Factory between 1892 and 1948. The factory with its 512 workers was known as the engine of North Buda's industry. After World War II., the building was first taken over by the "Red Spark Factory" (1948-1957) and later by the Budapest Radiotechnical Factory (BRG, 1957-1989).
